Why coaching?

Taking dedicated time with a coach can help you move forward in the direction you truly want to move in and in a way that truly works for you. It can help you to unearth where you should be going, what you should be spending your time doing, where you can get help, how you can utilise what you already have and how you can prioritise.

Who is coaching for?

Pure coaching is for everyone! I honestly believe that every human alive can gain huge benefits from being coached.

That said, I love supporting people who have their own solo or small businesses, especially those who are working in ‘heart-felt’ industries such as yoga, fitness, therapies, sustainability, authors and many more.

What results can you expect?

Results vary from person to person depending on what’s truly going on with you. But clients I’ve worked with so far have made incredible progress in their business and personal lives… feeling more confident, taking more action, seeing better results, feeling happier and more content.

What is coaching anyway?

Coaching gives you the space to dig deep to uncover what’s really there. Often we aren’t able to make a decision or can’t see all the facts. Sometimes we feel stuck. Coaching can offer a way to see more clearly, understand our true feelings and desires and work out what our next steps should be.

Everything comes from you… a Coach is simply a facilitator in your process to finding your way forward.

Coaching is empowering, uplifting, transformational.

The difference between Coaching, Counselling and Mentoring

Just to be clear, coaching is not counselling or mentoring.

You won’t be given any advice as such. Instead you’ll be given time & space to think, to talk through, to process and to come up with your own solutions. When people come up with their own solutions they are far more likely to see them through than when they are offered from someone else.

Although many coaches out there are also mentors, the two modalities are in fact very different. Mentors usually have training or experience in your particular issue, but a pure coach can coach any person on any topic.

My story

Coaching has helped me in so many ways over the years. When I was going through my IVF treatment and ultimately had to come to terms with never having a biological child of my own I reached out for help. I saw several counsellors.  Experts in their fields and highly recommended (with price tags to match). Unfortunately for me, I didn’t get anywhere with any of them. I found it quite depressing to keep going through my story and churning up the same feelings over and over again.

It wasn’t until I attended a coaching event that I understood how to actually move forward. Shortly after that, I signed up to a business coaching & mentoring programme. I had a 1-1 with the Coach and it was from that session that I could genuinely see how to move out of the depressed rut I was in and move towards a new future.

The change wasn’t easy… but it was the right one. I left my London life behind and moved back up north. I never would have made that decision with counselling… or at least it would have taken a whole lot longer to get there.  From then on, I’ve always had a Coach. Whether it’s a group business Coach or a 1-1 personal Coach. Coaching is something I will never be without. When I’ve got a big decision to make, I turn to my Coach. If I am feeling overwhelmed, I turn to my Coach. Coaches have helped me see things more clearly than I ever could on my own. The truth is, we all have the answers inside us. Sometimes we just need a little help to chip away at the stuff we’ve buried it beneath.

For the past few years I’ve been a Coach & Mentor to yoga teachers in varying capacities. I’ve coached yoga students, pregnant couples and small business owners. It felt like the right time to finally get accredited.

In January this year, I received my Level 2 Professional ICF Accredited Coaching Diploma.  It’s taken a whole year to of training, coaching, mentoring, being observed, observing coaching, and then a final live coaching assessment. I’m super proud of this achievement.

How can I support you?

As I continue to grow my coaching business and gain the next step of accreditation from the ICF, I will be offering the following:

  • One-off 1 hr Coaching session for £60
  • Package of 5 x 1hr Coaching sessions for £200
