Ruth Olayinka talks about the upcoming workshop
The birth of your baby is one of the most significant days of your family’s entire life together. It’s not just the birth of a baby, it’s the birth of a mother, a father and siblings too.
This special and seemingly miraculous rite of passage is a memory which should be looked back on with warmth, love, joy and excitement It’s also no secret that birth, as with anything in life, is not a linear process. Some things don’t always happen the way we imagined or even wanted them to. Even the most optimal textbook hypnobirth might have had its moments. Or perhaps you have feelings of loss or regret that you didn’t get to birth the way you had hoped and wished for. Although it’s not possible to rewind time, it IS possible to re-arrange our thoughts and memories so that, when you recall your baby’s birth, the memories and feelings which arise instinctively are the ones which feel right and good.
Imagine it like a photo album with lots of snapshot of one event – it’s like you’re archiving the photos you’re not keen on to the back of the album, and the ones which fill you with that all important warmth, love, joy and excitement, well you can make them bigger, brighten them up, bring them to the front and enjoy them whenever you choose.

A very valuable workshop and everyone should take this special time to focus on their birth and to see the positives.
Facilitated by registered Hypnotherapist and Birth worker, Ruth Olayinka, this workshop will use and teach therapeutic techniques such as hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help you to re-arrange these precious memories inside. The self-care techniques taught within this workshop are also completely transferrable for the management of unwanted feelings and memories you experience within life, both as busy parent and as a valuable person in your own right.
*It’s important to note that if you feel you have any symptoms of PTSD as a result of your birth, that you seek out a 1:1 qualified professional who works specifically with birth trauma resolution. If you’re unsure if this applies to you please find more information here or get in touch to talk about this further.
You don’t know what will come up but this is such a great space to work with difficult memories and start moving forward.
