With Zoe

Our May yin yoga extended practice focuses completely on the spine. It’s said that we are only as young as our spine is flexible, so this workshop will help to create mobility in all directions to provide you with a youthful feeling 🙂

Many of us spend our days sitting at a desk, hunched over computers or phones, driving, looking after children and then we relax in the evenings by slouching on the settee.

Over time, our spines become stiff and inflexible, and this effect radiates throughout the rest of our bodies.

The spine is designed to stretch, rotate and side bend… these are all natural movements of the spine but in our daily life it is easy to do too much of one movement and not enough of the other, leading us to physical imbalances. These imbalances can result in fatigue, pain in shoulders, hips, back, headaches,

Relief could be as simple as increasing flexibility in your spine and in this gorgeous yin yoga session you are invited to explore all 6 ways of moving the spine. We’ll hold poses for several minutes, fully supported by a myriad of props (blankets, bolsters, blocks etc) and work at stretching, rotating, extending, side bending and strengthening the spine and its surrounding muscles and connective tissue that work towards awakening the energy of the spine once more.

Have been coming since October and Yin Yoga is my absolute favourite!

The workshops are amazing!

Our Yin workshops are seriously indulgent and delicious!

These 2.5 hour sessions work at reaching parts of the body that other yoga doesn’t quite manage. Despite it’s chilled and relaxed appearance YIN yoga is both mentally and physically challenging BUT it in an incredibly supportive and nurturing way.

Yin poses are mainly seated or lying down and blankets, blocks & cushions are used to support the safe & comfortable opening of the body as the poses are held for several minutes.

Yin yoga works on so many levels. On a physical level it releases stiffness in the joints and muscles. It works with the meridian lines of our body to help Chi (energy) flow freely. On an emotional and spiritual level it begins to release layers of baggage and junk that we weren’t able to fully process at the time.

It’s a truly freeing type of yoga that I believe everyone will benefit from.

Feel the layers of suppressed emotion and excessive tightness start to unravel and release so you can EXPERIENCE YOU AGAIN.

These workshops are designed to make you feel AMAZING
